Chroma: A Queer Literary and Arts Journal

Chroma is an artist-led international queer literary and arts journal based in London. The journal comes out twice a year, usually in May and November. We hold literary events, workshops, and run the DIVINE mentoring scheme, which was launched in 2008. We aim to publish and promote work that is edgy, lyrical and challenging – well-written and badly-behaved is what we like – and to reflect the diverse voices of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered communities of artists and writers.

Chroma also holds an International Queer Writing Competition and an annual Writing Residential (in partnership with the Arvon Foundation and Ty Newydd).

Services & Resources:

  • The DIVINE mentoring scheme
  • Short story and poetry critiques
  • Creative writing workshops
