Chinese Arts Centre

Chinese Arts Centre is the national organisation for the promotion of contemporary Chinese arts. It is based in Manchester, but a large proportion of its work is done in London. Its aim is to develop a sustainable infrastructure to allow all Chinese arts to flourish in the UK. A large part of what it does is to provide information, advice and guidance to artists of Chinese descent.

Services & Resources:

• Advice given on career development, artistic practice and opportunities
• Small group training in a range of practical, artistic and career skills
• Seminars which focus on raising awareness of contemporary Chinese arts or developing a sustainable infrastructure for them
• Range of equipment and office support available to artists
• Helping people to start or develop a freelance career or arts business
• Extensive resource library on Chinese arts and culture.
