Urban Development

Based at Stratford Circus in London E15, Urban Development is the one-stop organisation for East London's new urban music talent through it's wide range of training, individual artist mentoring and business support, industry seminars, regular events and two fully professional labels (Documented and UD whites).

UD's aim is to inspire young people to fulfil their creative potential and offer valuable links to the music industry, as well as helping arts and music businesses to learn and grow.

Urban Develoment's courses combine learning basic skills and techniques with specific projects that help students gain experience in real life situations, from vocalist and producer collaborations to live performances on stage. All of their courses are delivered by experienced professional tutors and each features master classes from leading players within each artform.

The partners in Stratford Cultural Quarter are Theatre Venture, East London Dance, Discover, Circus Media (NewVIc-Newham Sixth Form College), newceys (Newham Community Education and Youth Service), Theatre Royal Stratford East, and Urban Development.
